Yesterday I changed my host family! During the week I was packing everything to move over here, and (although it was a little bit hard at some points) I made it. On Friday I went out to dinner with Lynne, Don, Mere, and Paul, and on Saturday morning I had a volunteering activity of the National Honor Society. Right after that, I finished packing and I came to my new house.
Of course, I cried. Saying goodbye is always hard. Saying goodbye to your family, is even harder. Meresie, Lynne and Don are part of my family, and I am going to miss them. We are going to do things together, though. I am extremely thankful for sharing all those fantastic moments with them. I love them.
At dinner on Saturday: Brian, Pat, Eileen, and I |
I have been living with Eileen, Brian and Tula for a day and a half, and it has been wonderful. They made me feel very welcomed, and I am sure that these three and a half months are going to be amazing. I was nervous at first, but now I feel I know them. They have been fantastic with me, and (even if today I had to unpack everything) I had fun.
On Saturday we went out to dinner in Louisville, in a very pretty restaurant. Pat (Eileen and Brian's oldest son) came with us, and he also spent the whole day today here at home. He is a really nice guy, he is extremely intelligent. Today I was talking to him and I enjoyed it a lot.
Summarizing, I believe that the months that are coming are going to be very exciting, as much as the six last months were. I am really thankful with Eileen and Brian (and Tula!) for hosting me, and allowing me to be a part of their family. This is an opportunity to make new lifelong family and friends, and I am going to enjoy it as much as I can. Eileen, Brian, Tula... Thank you.
I will see you next Sunday!
Bye Bye!
Laura: I'm delighted that you begin your new stage so optimistic and so happy with your new family.
ReplyDeleteBeing positive and optimistic is your better hallmark. I wish you never lose it. It will help you a lot in all your life experiences and it will do that you always get benefits from it, even from events which by themselves would not be too beneficial for you or that they would be even harmful for you. Do not forget that your optimism and your willingness always will transform any disadvantages into opportunities and benefits.
I wish you to enjoy and learn many things with your new family. And, especially, I wish you and your family will enjoy very good moments and a very good experience for all you.
Please, spread our appreciation to your new family for hosting you and also to Cundiff family for the good moments that you enjoyed with them.
We love you
Thank you, mommy and daddy. I try to be always positive and optimistic, since I think that it is a great help to achieve our goals. Every bad situation can be transformed into a good one, and being willing to make efforts to improve it will help a lot.
DeleteThank you, dad and mom. I told my new family and my old family that you said thank you. They appreciated it.
I love you too
